When an individual district becomes a member of IASCD, they are entitled to a number of benefits including representation at all levels of government, a monthly financial report, the Executive Director's report, and payroll and grant administration.
Membership allows districts to shape IASCD policy, structure and future, as well as work with our state and federal partners to strengthen this vital relationship.

1. Representation, Lobbying and Influence
- Local Governments (Idaho Association of Counties, individual cities, counties and towns, League of Cities)
- State Government (Governor’s Office, State Senate and Legislature, DEQ, ISDA, IDPW, IDWR, ISWCC, IDF&G, OSC, etc.)
- Federal Government (NRCS, FSA, USDA, EPA, US Army Corps of Engineers, USFWS, BLM, Reclamation, FEMA, USGS, NPS, OMB, etc.)
- Private conservation NGO’s (Cattlemen, Grain Growers, Farm Bureau, Food Producers, Irrigation Associations, Mining Associations, IRRC, Dairymen, Ag In The Classroom, etc.)
- State Legislature (funding support, bill support/opposition, present & testify before committees)
- US House and US Senate (funding support, policy development, bill support/opposition, provide questions to Congressmen and Senators from districts, facilitate meetings)
- Work with NACD to lobby Congress and influence national policy and strategy

- Daily ag news clips to supervisors and partners
- Promotes a public awareness of the individual conservation district as the true source of knowledge for natural resource management
- Developing monthly eNewsletter for districts, partners and public

- Raise money (private and public funding) for Envirothon
- Grant management
- Developing “Ten Minute Training” for district supervisors
