Save the Date!
We are planning the annual Legislative Appreciation Social and District Display Day on behalf of Idaho’s 50 conservation districts for members of the Idaho legislature, Governor’s Office, and conservation district leaders. This gathering began from requests by state legislators seeking better insight into conservation district efforts and as an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the Idaho State Legislature and Idaho’s conservation districts.
All 50 conservation districts are invited to attend
If your conservation district is interested in attending the gathering, please let us know. This event is fully financed by conservation districts. To absorb the cost of the event, the IASCD requests each district consider a donation of $100 payable to IASCD. The donation is not a requirement for attendance.
The purpose of the Legislative Appreciation Social and District Display Day is to educate legislators about the projects and activities of conservation districts, and their critical partnership with the state of Idaho to protect and restore Idaho’s natural resources on behalf of its citizens and communities. The event is an opportune time for local conservation districts to engage Idaho state leaders and demonstrate the relevance and impact of their daily efforts.
NEW FOR 2024…District Display Day combined with Legislative Social
By request, District Display Day will be combined with the Legislative Social. Limited space will be provided in the Crystal Ballroom to showcase district displays as part of the event.
Districts wishing to participate can reserve display space on a first come, first serve basis (approx. 10 tables available).
Please email Travis ([email protected]) to confirm a 6-foot display table for your district.
Displays are allowed to be set up in the Ballroom starting at 3:00pm MT. Other arrangements may be made for districts with a free-standing display.
